John the Baptist Community School, Hospital, has taken part in the A.I.B. Build a Bank Challenge for the past eight years. The Bank itself is a wonderful learning experience for the students involved. Students take responsibility for all aspects of running the bank including, recruiting new accounts, sustainment of customers, marketing, finance and customer relations. The official bank launch took place on Friday 16th December 2011 with special guest, James Ryan, Limerick senior hurler in attendance. The bank is open every Friday from 12.30pm to 1.30pm and the bank team, along with A.I.B. student officer Louise Ryan, look forward to meeting all the new and loyal customers.
