Dillon Corkery (St Michel-Preference Home-Auber 93) has taken another top 10 result after muscling his way through a very physical final at La Roue Tourangelle Centre Val de Loire in France.
Corkery was initially squeezed between two Unibet Tietema Rockets riders as the final bend approached just before the finish. And after getting his elbows out and overcoming that issue, Corkery managed to move up a little rounding the final bend, where he and another rider made contact again.
Though that need to fight so hard to move up at the front took a little of the punch from the Irish rider’s sprint, he still managed to get right into the mix in the gallop for victory at the end of the 197km race from Chinon to Tours and finished in 8th position in a bunch sprint in the same time as the winner
This performance follows on from another strong 5th place finish the week before.
