Handball ace David Walsh makes history in Croke Park

David Walsh.

David Walsh from Mallow Handball Club, who is the current Irish no. 1, and who is on an 11-game winning streak in senior handball – fresh off wins at the Southern Classic and Golden Gloves ranking events – will take on Cavan’s 6-time world champion Paul Brady in the Senior Singles All-Ireland Handball Final this Saturday at the new GAA National Handball Centre in Croke Park.
David is Mallow’s first ever senior singles finalist. Can he make history and bring the title back to Cork for the first time since Tony Healy’s legendary 2004 win, when Healy defeated Brady himself in an unforgettable battle? Brady, a legend of the sport, will be chasing a record-breaking 11th senior title. A big game awaits, and it is guar-anteed to be a sell-out. Best of luck to David.
