Killavullen drift star Conor Shanahan has written his name into the history books once again, claiming both the 2025 Drift Masters European Championship and the Grand Finale victory in front of 50,000 fans inside Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy stadium last weekend. The win is Conor’s second European crown in three years, cementing his place as one of the sport’s stand-out stars.
Conor entered the season decider with everything still to play for, but when rival Piotr Wiecek was eliminated in the Top 32, the title was mathe-matically sealed, though that didn’t stop Shanahan from putting on a show as he battled through the knockout stages before defeating Polish favourite Pawel Korpulinski in a dramatic One More Time Final.
Conor’s brother Jack joined him on the podium with third overall, while James Deane finished fifth and Conor Falvey rounded out the top 10. Plenty of Irish fans made the trip to Warsaw, creating a sea of green in the stands as Shanahan clinched the title and celebrated with his brother on the podium.
Speaking after the win, Conor said: “It’s absolutely unbelievable – I can’t thank everybody enough for the support. Everybody who has made this possible, my team, my partners, Red Bull – everyone who has believed in me and stood by me.
“Two-time Drift Masters champion, 2025 cham-pion, I’m a very, very happy boy tonight.”
