Cork County Council is delighted to announce that the second stage in the construction tender process for the Mallow Town Hall Theatre project was advertised on Thursday, 11th September. This stage in the process invites contractors shortlisted in Stage 1 to submit their tenders for the delivery of the project, and marks an important step towards starting construction works.
The tender return date is 24th October 2025 and thereafter tenders will be assessed before the appointment of the successful tenderer. It is envisaged that, subject to a successful outcome to the tender process, the construction works will start in late February 2026, with a 15 to 18-month construction period.
The Mallow Town Hall Theatre Project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern and Midland Regional Programme 2021-2027 and Cork County Council.
The project will see the repurposing of the historic Mallow Town Hall building into a theatre and multi-use arts centre which will invigorate Mallow town centre, fostering a vibrant cultural scene and attracting visitors, businesses, and residents alike, thereby revitalising local commerce and community engagement.
