Anna to coach Laos rugby team for South East Asian Games

Anna Caplice.

Former Ireland rugby player Anna Caplice from Dromahane has been appointed as Head Coach of the Laos national team for the upcoming 33rd South East Asian Games in Thailand. In her career, Anna played for Munster, Harlequins Women and the Ireland national team, and in 2023/2024 she was involved with Stade Rochelais Women as player/coach. Having retired this year as a player, Anna worked as a BBC pundit at the Women’s Rugby World Cup, but now she has moved into national coaching in far-off Laos. Anna began her rugby career with Mallow RFC, and she had a brilliant career with the Ireland team, which led to a giant mural of her being painted on the side wall of Albert Lynch’s Pub in Mallow. We wish her all the best in her new job as Head Coach of Laos.
