LOTS OF LAUGHTER IN STORE IN ARDPATRICK

There is lots of laughter in store for drama lovers at Ardpatrick in the coming weeks when the local Hillside Players stage their annual production. This year is the group’s 19th production and they have chosen the Sam Cree classic comedy ‘Don’t Tell The Wife’ to follow the hugely successful ‘Widow’s Paradise’ by the same playwright that was staged in 2012.

‘Don’t Tell The Wife’ is set in Belfast in the 1960s in the living room of the Willis household. Edna Willis is convinced that her husband is going through a mid-life crisis and becoming interested in other women. But is he? Time will tell. However, he may have some secrets of his own. Her attempt to stop him leads to hilarious misunderstandings in this side splitting comedy.

The cast of eight includes Annette Crowley, Pat McGrath, Gareth Beechinor, Valerie Carroll, Ciara Moloney, Pa Collopy, Catherine O’Sullivan and Brendan Murphy.

This year for the first time, the Hillside Players have a lady director, Hannah Goggin, an experienced actress, who has been in many productions down through the years.

“Don’t Tell The Wife” opens tonight Thursday January 17th and runs nightly to Sunday 20th and again the following weekend from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th.

Admission is adult €8 and children €3. Booking is advisable. Booking lines open on every performance night from 5.30-7.30pm. Booking number: 087 7655771.
