Due to an increased interest among Limerick primary schools in the RDS Primary Science Fair, this year the organisers decided to host for the first time a Primary Science Fair in Limerick. The event ran over two days, Friday and Saturday January 15th and 16th, with the Courtenay Boys participating in and exhibiting their project ; “Which fruit juice had the highest vitamin C concentration – freshly squeezed or commercial?” on the Friday. This was the second year the school participated in the Science Fair, having exhibited last year in the RDS in Dublin. Once again the Courtenay Boys did very well. Judge Marie Walsh was very impressed with the boys; she praised their hard work and complimented their presentation of the project. She was particularly impressed by how well they explained their experiment and their results. All in the Courtenay are very proud of our boys, Maith sibh rang a sé!
