A GIFT FOR JACK AND JILL

The Jack and Jill Founda-tion, who provide home and respite care for over 300 brain damaged chil-dren in Ireland, accepted a cheque for €2,750 from the Geiptine Singers Choir this week at a function in Adare.

The Askeaton based choir raised the money by organising a Christmas cabaret at the Flying Boat Museum in Foynes in December and staging a carol recital in Askeaton parish church on Christmas Eve.

The regional organiser for Jack and Jill, Mags Naughton accepted the cheque on behalf of the Foundation and expressed the thanks of this most deserving charity. She promised the money would be put to good use in the work of caring for those misfortunate children and their burdened families.
