One of the most beautiful Christmas traditions will take place next Sunday, 20th December with the 19th staging of the Adare Live Crib. The event will take place from 2-5pm, and everyone is invited to call in and join in the special festive celebration, with live babies, holy families, animals, shepherds and carol-singers.
Admission to the Live Crib is free, and all donations go to various charities, to help alleviate child poverty.
The crib is situated in the stable yard at the rear of Fr. Moriarty’s house, and the entrance is at the side of the Dunraven Arms Hotel. Free car parking is available throughout the village and in the car park at the rear of the Heritage Centre.
A festive atmosphere will prevail on Sunday, with mulled wine and refreshments generously provided by the local hostelries, while local and visiting choirs sing all the well-known Christmas carols. Make sure to call in and sample for yourself that special Christmas feeling.
