Adare retained its title of tidiest town or village in Co. Limerick when securing 318 points in this year’s National Tidy Towns Competition, the results of which were announced on Monday, but the hard work of volunteers in all parts of the county during the year was recognised by the judges who awarded high marks in many instances. West Limerick top scorers included Broadford (305), Newcastle West (301), Glin (298), Templeglantine (296), Askeaton (294), and Croom (294). Limerick results in each category are as follows:
