It has been reported that a 9-person syndicate from the Barry Group has won €500,000 in the Euromillions Plus draw, which was held on Tuesday night. Dano’s SuperValu sold the winning ticket and owner Paul O’ Mahony said: “We’re thrilled to have sold a winning ticket – it’s the first major National Lottery prize we’ve ever sold, so we’re delighted. We are in business here for more than 50 years – I inherited the business from my own father Dano – so it’s great to get our first major winner.” It’s not the first big win for the Barry Group, as a syndicate from the company won big a couple of years ago.
