Daniel O’Sullivan from Mallow played a vital role with Neptune in the Hula Hoops Under 18 Men’s National Cup Final last weekend held at the Basketball Arena in Tallaght, where he contributed 10 points to a great victory over Belfast Star to become National Cup champions on a scoreline of 80-74. Daniel played basketball with the Mallow club for many years before transferring to Neptune in the past year, and everyone in the club was delighted with his success. Another huge achievement this year was Daniel being selected on the Irish under 17 squad and he will be travelling to Portugal in June to represent his country. He is the first male from Mallow Basketball Club in over 40 years to be chosen for the Irish squad, a fantastic achievement for Daniel and the club.
