On Sunday last Mallow Masters Swimming Club was represented in fine style by Kevin Myers, Denis Merritt and Adrian Healy, who made the journey to Glenbeg Lough, located on the Beara Peninsula in County Cork. The event was a 4km race in a freshwater lake in the lovely scenic Ardgroom. With more than 50 swimmers from all over the country, the competition was going to be strong. Well done to Adrian Healy who was placed 2nd in the male non-wetsuit category, beaten by Anthony Solomon from Australia. It’s great to see the club being represented in these open water swimming events.
The club hopes that all club members are having a safe summer and training will start back on 29th August in Mallow Pool. New members are always welcome, limited spaces available.
