Work on the construction of the Mallow Bridge Boardwalk will stop later this month, and will restart in January, it was announced by Cork Co. Council this week. There will be no traffic disruption caused by the works over the busy Christmas period, and it is envisaged that the boardwalk will be installed in Summer 2020. The outstanding works remaining on the project include new paving and changes to the existing footpaths at the Park Road junction, upgrading of the traffic lights, installation of the boardwalk, and final surfacing. Most of these works will be carried out in conjunction with the installation of the boardwalk which is being fabricated off-site at present.
