BROADFORD HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL

The Halloween Festival will be held in Broadford from Friday 26th October to Monday 29th October. The festival will open on Friday night with a pub quiz in all 3 pubs at 9pm – €20 for a table of four. Saturday’s activities include a 5km and 10km walk at 1.30pm, a lecture in the Arboretum by Ted Cooke at 2pm and from 6pm to 8pm there will be a photographic exhibition in the library of local people from times past. Entries for the schools Halloween art competition can be handed into the library on Saturday from 6pm to 8pm. The Halloween fancy dress ball will be held at the Community Centre from 9pm with full bar. Tickets are available from the Post Office and Moloney’s Shop in Broadford. There will be a prize for the best fancy dress costume. On Sunday morning a farmers market will be held from 10am. Stalls are available for €10 and home baking, jams, chutneys etc will be most welcome for the community stall. A donkey derby with a difference and family fun day will kick off at 2pm with lots of fun for all the family, young and old. On Monday night there will be a torch light parade from 6.30pm from the Enterprise Centre and a card game at the Old Forge Inn at 9pm.
