Bruff will host a major 10K run/walk on Saturday 1st October to help raise balance funding for the provision of a groundbreaking dementia facility which is being developed by Carebright in the town. Construction has already started on this unique community project, Ireland’s first purpose-built dementia community, where Carebright will provide independent living in a development that comprises 18 homes, a café, therapy rooms, gym, men’s shed and gardens.
It is estimated that the project will cost €5.5m, and at the moment the development has a €980,000 shortfall in its fundraising target. In light of this, Carebright have issued an appeal for support of the major 10k fun run and walk on 1st October at 2pm.
Registration, which comes with a fee of just €10 to enter, will take place at Bruff GAA Club, but you can, in the meantime, pre-register by emailing mmurphy@carebright.ie or vgreene@carebright.ie. Contact 087 – 1487809 for further details.
