Bruff clubman to be elected Munster Rugby President

It will be a special occasion for Bruff Rugby Club tonight, Thursday, when Munster Rugby elects long-time clubman Ger Malone to the position of president. Ger played adult rugby for Bruff for over ten years and at one stage formed a second-row partnership with John Hayes. He scored the winning try for Bruff in a Transfield Cup Final victory over St. Mary’s in 1987. The incoming president has held various positions in the Bruff club, including a two-year term as club president. He has also served as Junior Vice-President of Munster Rugby, and is the current Vice-President.
