CELEBRATION OF RATHKEALE YOUTH PROJECT

Rathkeale Youth Project, in conjunction with Limerick Youth Service, will hold a celebration of the project at the new Youth Space, Church Street, Rathkeale, this Thursday evening, November 1st, from 6pm to 8pm.

The evening will see the official opening of the new Youth Space, followed by Youth Bank grant presentations to six local youth projects and a musical performance by members of Rathkeale Youth Project.

The Board of Limerick Youth Service, which will be holding its AGM in Rathkeale, will also be in attendance. It is the first time the Board will meet in the county.

Formerly the Ivy Leaf, Rathkeale Youth Project’s new premises is located in the heart of Rathkeale and reaffirms Limerick Youth Service’s commitment to local young people and the community.

Speaking ahead of Thursday’s celebrations, Sasha Noonan of Limerick Youth Service says prep-arations are in full swing and all at the project are looking forward to showcasing the best of what the young people of Rathkeale have to offer.

“We would like to thank all those volunteers who give and continue to give their time in making Rathkeale Youth Project so successful,” continued Ms Noonan.

Founded in 2002, Youth Bank provides financial support to youth-led clubs and groups that wish to contribute to their comm-unity. This is done through a Youth Bank Committee which is made up of young people.

Limerick Youth Service remains committed to supporting and encouraging young people to be active participants in shaping their futures.
