Over 90 children attended the Easter soccer camp at Charleville AFC ground in Moatville. Coach Maurice Farrell oversaw the running of the 3 day camp with assistant coaches Jason O’Hara, Anna O’Regan, Caoimhe Farrell and Matt Roche, all of whom are involved in playing and training teams in the club. Cork City manager Tommy Dunne visited the camp on the final day and was most impressed by the layout and the supervised coaching, and also with the number of children at the camp. He took some photos and said that they would be put up in the Cork City clubhouse. Well done to all involved.
At the end of the camp, club chairman Tim Fitzgerald thanked all the children for attending the camp; he thanked head coach Maurice Farrell for running it and assistant coachess Caoimhe Farrell, Jason O’Hara, Anna O’Regan and Matt Roche for all their input throughout the camp. Tim added a special thank you to Pat O’Hara for organising the camp. Maurice Farrell also thanked everyone involved – Charleville AFC, the parents, the children and the assistant coaches.
