Charleville Show wins Show of the Year 2016

Charleville Show Committee

In a survey carried out by the Farmers Journal, Charleville Show was again awarded Show of the Year for 2016
This is the second time Charleville Show has been awarded this prestigious title in recent years, as it won in 2013.
It is a great honour for the committee to be awarded this title for the second time in a few years when we had to contend with over 100 shows for all over the 32 counties of Ireland.
In 2016 Charleville Show had also to get an event licence which cost in excess of €20,000 and this created a lot of ‘Red Tape’ for the voluntary committee to deal with and a lot of unnecessary extra work for the committee. As quoted by the Farmers Journal ‘took the red tape in their stride’.
Show PRO Billy Biggane said the award was down to hard work by the dedicated committee and volunteers of all ages from toddlers to octogenarians.
Woek has already started on this year’s show, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday 24th and 25th June and promises to be a very big event with a lot of new attractions in store.
