Coláiste Íde agus Iosef is very proud of talented young chef Naoise Ahern, who recently represented Ireland in the kitchen at the Rotary Great Britain and Ireland Young Chef Scottish and Irish District Competition held in Scotland. Naoise showcased his culinary skills, creativity and professionalism throughout the competition, preparing a pan-fried buttermilk chicken escalope with pappardelle pasta, tomato ragout, asparagus, parmesan and basil oil, followed by a Mikado biscuit dessert with raspberry, lime and coconut. Naoise represented both his school and country with great passion and dedication, and his achievement in reaching and competing at this level is a fantastic accomplishment and a testament to his hard work and talent. The school would also like to acknowledge the guidance and support of Chef Tom Flavin, who mentored Naoise throughout the competition. The entire school community in Coláiste Íde agus Iosef is extremely proud of Naoise and wishes him every success in his future culinary journey.
