Mallow Search and Rescue will hold its annual river swim this Christmas morning, weather permitting. Swimmers will enter the River Blackwater at about 11am, and should reach Mallow Bridge at about 11.30am. Collectors will be on Mallow Bridge for donations. All money raised will go to fund the work of Mallow Search and Rescue which travels the length and breadth of Ireland to help communities in the search for missing people. The group relies totally on don-ations, as it is not state-funded, so please give a little on the day to a group which does so much good work in a voluntary capacity.
