Mallow Urban Heritage Masterplan, incorporating Thomas Davis Square and the civic plaza, is among the 50-plus projects shortlisted for this year’s RIAI Irish Architecture Awards, which were announced this week by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI). Now in its ninth year, the RIAI Public Choice Award gives the public the opportunity to have their say by voting for their favourite short-listed project, which has the honour of being named Ireland’s favourite building 2016, and the public can vote for their favourite building online on www.irisharchitectureawards.ie or through the RIAI Facebook page. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Friday, 24th June.
