Clare Scanlan from Monagea is a leader in this year’s Operation Transformation on RTE, and the local community has started a group to follow and support her in her journey. A weigh-in will be held each Friday in the Community Centre in support of Clare, starting this Friday from 7 to 7.30pm, and all are welcome to join this group or to form one of their own. It is hoped to hold a weekly group activity, starting this Saturday with a 4k walk in the Demesne, Newcastle West, at 10am. All updates will be published on the Facebook page ‘Friends of Clare Operation Transformation Monagea.’ Weigh-in will be private, with male and female areas, and no cameras will be recording. All are welcome to join in and support Clare, while also having fun and getting fit.
