Darkness into Light, the national event which raises funds for Pieta House, will take place this Saturday morning at 4.15am, in Mallow, with thousands expected to congregate at the College of Further Education for the 5K walk/run. The registration centre is at Hibernian Way and will be open today and tomorrow (Thursday and Friday) from 12 noon to 6pm. Online registration is also available at http://dil.pieta.ie
The DIL Mallow event has raised over €100,000 in the past two years, thanks to the support of the community and a range of sponsors. Many people who walk, run, volunteer or get involved in any way feel the amazing spirit generated on the night and during the run-up to the event. It provides a focus for those affected by suicide and those who wish to support the preventative work of Pieta House.
The committee organising the event is looking forward to sharing the inspiring and atmospheric awareness of Darkness into Light fundraising with as many people as possible on Saturday morning. See you there!
