Davis College film is a winner at National ‘Live Life, Love Day’ Competition

Young film-makers at Davis College have scooped a national prize in the ‘Live Life, Love Day’ competition, held at IT Tralee. The competition is being held to honour the memory of Donal Walsh who lost his battle against cancer last year, and the Davis College two-minute film won third prize against schools nationwide. They were presented with their prize by Munster and Ireland rugby international Conor Murray, RTE’s Diana Bucini, and Aidan Power. Along with the prize-giving, those in attendance were treated to a performance by Liam O’Connor, Ireland’s fastest accordion player.

Open to primary schools, secondary schools and third level institutions, the competition was for two minute films that helped spread the ‘Live Life’ message.
