Freemount has been long known for its talented musicians, songwriters and singers, and now it can add an author to its ranks. Willie O’Regan has penned a book which has been recently published. ‘The Alternative’ is a page-turning thriller which tracks the life of Andy Pickering who decides to swap the 9 to 5 grind for something very different.
Early reviews have been positive, and the debut novel is available in local shops including Kelly’s Convenience Store, Freemount, and Casey’s Foodstore, John’s Bridge. The book is also available in Liam Russell’s in Cork and on Amazon. This book would make an ideal post Christmas present. 10% of proceeds will be donated to St Joseph’s School, Charleville.
