Doneraile Court opens to the public this Saturday

The magnificent Doneraile Court House will open its doors to the public for the first time in a generation on this Saturday, writes John Barrett.
The house has been in the stewardship of the Office of Public Works since 1994 and, following a €1.6 capital works project, including €350K from the Department of Culture Heritage and Gaeltacht, the ground floor of the Doneraile Court has been fully restored and now takes its place as one of Ireland’s most important historic properties.
Doneraile Parklands and Gardens is already one of Ireland’s most significant tourist destinations, attracting 490,000 people in 2018.
