Over 150 people attended the presentation in the Woodland House Hotel, Adare of the €90,000 that was raised as a result of the Climb of Croagh Patrick for Charity on 30th September organised by Liam Woulfe and Mike Aherne. Liam and Mike thanked everybody who climbed, contributed money or helped in any way. Liam said : “A small idea that was discussed for the first time on 28th July this year grew into something great as a result of the marvellous support from so many people across Limerick and almost every county in Ireland which ultimately led to this magnificent amount of money being presented to TLC4CF and to Irish Autism Action. While thanking everybody, Liam said that he was proud to be presenting €45,000 to each of these two fantastic support organisations on behalf of the thousands of contributors to the climber’s sponsorship cards or directly to the fund.

The overwhelming goodwill and gratitude of everybody was very evident at the presentation as Mike, Liam and many others recalled their fantastic experiences. Mr. Kevin Whelan, Chief Executive, Irish Autism Action said that this financial contribution was magnificent and his organisation would put it to the benefit of all the services that they provide to support the many people who have autism and he sincerely thanked everybody.
