Elaine O’Regan has been announced as the new Principal of the Patrician Academy, following the retirement of Catherine Fitzpatrick later this summer. Elaine has taught Maths, Business, Accounting and LCVP for the past 18 years. A gifted practitioner in the classroom, Elaine has an impeccable record of qualifications and experience. She began her career teaching in Alexandra College, Dublin. The only disappointment expressed in the Academy at the news was that students would be losing “a brilliant teacher”.
A native of Co. Wicklow, Elaine has lived and worked in Mallow for the past 12 years. A  mother of four, she fully appre-ciates how important it is to ensure that parents of boys in Mallow consider the Patrician Academy to be an excellent school that will provide a top quality education, thus enabling the young men to achieve their potential.
Welcoming the appoint-ment, the school’s Board of Management congrat-ulated Elaine and wished her every success in her new role.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms O’Regan said: “I am honoured to have been given the privilege of serving the school community as principal. I am really looking forward to working with my colleagues on the staff, the students and their parents and indeed the wider Patrician Academy family.”
