Emma Willis and Stefanie Preissner from Mallow have been nominated for awards at the upcoming Irish Film and Television Awards which will be held on Friday, February 20th, at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. Emma has been nominated for her acting role in the Cork-set film ‘Christy’ which received 14 nominations in all, more than any other film in contention. Emma has been building a very impressive acting CV over the years, and has starred in television shows such as ‘Vikings’ and ‘The Young Offenders’, plus films such as ‘Dating Amber’ and ‘Mr. Malcolm’s List’.
Another nominee from Mallow is Stefanie Preissner, who wrote the screenplay for the TV hit ‘The Walsh Sisters’, and who also had a prominent acting role in the production. Stefanie also wrote the script for the hit TV show ‘Can’t Cope Won’t Cope’ which was a big hit in recent years. She has also written several best-selling books, and is a weekly columnist with the Sunday Independent ‘Culture’ magazine.
