EPS to represent Ireland at European Business Awards

 

EPS Group will represent Ireland as National Champion in the 2013/2014 European Business Awards programme under the Environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility category. The company has been chosen by a panel of international judges as one of the best examples of an organisation that puts sustainability at the heart of its operations. EPS were shortlisted alongside 19 other Irish companies including ESB, the Royal College of Surgeons, OSG Group, Nightline Logistics, the Irish Dairy Board and others.

526 businesses, out of over 17,000 entries representing 31 countries have been chosen as national champions, progressing through to the second round of the awards. In the next round of the competition, EPS Group will compete to achieve Ruban d’Honneur status. Final category award winners will be unveiled in April 2014.

Welcoming the announcement, Patrick Buckley, Deputy Managing Director of EPS said: “We are honoured to have been selected to represent Ireland in the European Business Awards. We are looking forward to the next stage of the competition and welcome the opportunity to compete against and benchmark ourselves with some of the leading companies in Europe.”

To advance in the competition this year, all National Champions have to submit a video entry for viewing and assessment by a European judging panel. In addition, the public will also be able to vote online for their favourite National Champion from each country, these companies become ‘National Public Champions’ and one will go on to be ‘European Public Champion’. Voting begins in November 2013.
