Field Club Journal No. 32 is launched!

Mallow Field Club Journal No. 32 was launched on Thursday last in the Arches Bar, with guest historian Michael Foley doing the honours. The new Journal has much to interest people interested in local history, with articles on the Old Manor Mills in Quartertown, the Burnfort Millionaire, the Kepple School in 1930s Mallow, the Czech workers and Mallow Sugar Factory, news items from 100 years ago, Mallow Miscellany, World War One and the Bridewell Lane connection, the Devon Commission on Land, gardener Jimmy Pyne, Mallow Presbyterians and World War One, and much more. It’s a wonderful read, full of interesting snippets and photos, and makes a wonderful Christmas present for people at home and abroad.
