A group of local business people from Askeaton, Ballysteen and Kilcornan have come together in an attempt to beat the recession. The aim of the group is to encourage you to keep your business local by shopping and doing your general business in your local area. By doing this you are helping to keep businesses from closing down and keeping the heart in your community.
At present we have businesses from all fields and we have no doubt that more businesses will come on board as the initiative develops.
Our first initiative will be ‘Fiver Friday’ being launched on March 15th. This idea as the name suggests will have special ‘fiver’ offers in each of the participating businesses. From the 15th onwards the ‘Fiver Friday’ offers will be on the first Friday of each month. Participating businesses will display the ‘Fiver Friday’ posters in prominent positions in their businesses so start looking out for these.
