A wonderful double celebration took place at Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum on Sunday night to commemorate the 30th Birthday of the official opening of the museum by Maureen O’Hara Blair and the 80th anniversary of the first commercial passenger flight on the North Atlantic.
Guest of honour was Eamonn Brennan, CEO, Euro Control, Brussels along with many others from the world of aviation – Willie Walsh, CEO, IAG Group, Hugh Flynn, CEO ASL Airlines, Ralph James, IAA, Major General Sean Clancy, Brig General Rory O’Connor and many others.
!50 Guests sat down to a sumptuous dinner and a very special aviation act travelled in from France, “Chiax Brothers” who thrilled the guests with their remote controlled aerobatic aircraft display. The night ended with a fantastic Fireworks display over the River Shannon.
