Foynes, which is the official home of Irish Coffee, will host the final of the Powers Irish Coffee Making Championship this Friday during the Foynes Irish Coffee Festival which runs until Sunday, 1st June.

All five finalists this year will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their Irish Coffee making expertise with the winner being crowned the Powers Irish Coffee Champion 2014 on Friday. The winner will receive a cash prize of €500, two tickets on United Airlines to New York along with a Bewleys hamper and a bespoke crystal trophy. Lyric FM’s Lorcan Murray will oversee proceedings on Friday night in the Foynes Flying Boat Museum for the final of the Powers Irish Coffee Making Championship. Tickets are now on sale for the Championship at €25 each to include Irish Coffee reception, buffet meal, complimentary wine, and music by Ebony.
