A huge crowd turned out at the Staker-Wallace G.A.A. Complex in Kilbready on Monday evening to celebrate the latest racing success of local owner J.P. McManus. JP’s Synchronised recently sped to victory to bring a first success in the prestigious Cheltenham Gold Cup to McManus.

The occasion was tinged with sadness as the horse had to be put down after last Saturday’s Grand National. As the occasion was planned in advance of the Aintree race, the occasion became a celebration of the achieve-ments of Synchronised.
