Representing another feather in the cap for a progressive local business, the multi award winning Old Irish Creamery Cheese made in Effin has captured the gold award accolade for cheese at the annual Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards 2014 at the Dingle Food Festival.
Cheeses in the Old Irish Creamery range won gold, silver and bronze awards in Dublin in 2008. They also won awards in 2009 at the world’s largest inter-national cheese show, which is held annually in Nantwich, Cheshire, Eng-land.
Setting the standard with J.O.D. Foods, a strict qual-ity control regime is in place at the South Limerick facility, where cheese is manufactured to the BRC Series 5 Grade A standard. Only the finest cheeses are blended with the choicest of natural ingredients to produce speciality cheeses with distinctive flavours.
