James Sugrue selected for Home Internationals

It has been a great week for Mallow golfer James Sugrue, who was named on the Ireland team for the Home Internationals at Conwy Golf Club in Wales from September 12th to 14th. Ireland will be seeking a fifth successive win in the Home Internationals, and it is a great honour for James to be selected for his first cap at this level. James was also a key member of the Munster team that won the Interprovincial Championship at Athenry on a dramatic final day last week. Playing in a crucial singles game against Caolan Rafferty, James was one down after 15 holes, but sank a 20-footer from off the green to win the hole, before closing out a crucial win on 18. Everyone at Mallow Golf Club, and of course his family, is delighted at James’s continuing development as a top golfer, and he is wished every success in the Home Internationals next week.
