Jed wins Rotary Youth Leadership top prize

Jed Duane, a 5th year student at Davis College was selected as the winner of the Mallow Rotary Club section in the Rotary Ireland Youth Leadership Development Competition last Thursday, 5th November, in the Hibernian Hotel. The aim of this competition is to enhance young people’s personal development. This is in correlation with the aim of Rotary which is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. Jed competed with students from Patrician Academy, St. Mary’s Secondary School, Mallow, Coláiste Treasa, Kanturk, St. Mary’s Secondary School, Charleville, Coláiste Mhuire, Buttevant and Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál in Blarney.

Jed will now represent Mallow Rotary Club in the Regional Finals on 18th November.
