FOUR LEARNERS FROM KERRY COLLEGE OF FURTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING (Kerry College) WILL FEATURE IN AN UPCOMING NATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR SOLAS ENTITLED “THIS IS FET”
The voices and stories of Rory Murphy and Antoin Fletcher from Tralee, Amie McNamara from Listowel and Niambh O’Byrne from Abbeyfeale are part of a new digital campaign to coincide with the Leaving Cert results and will feature on platforms including Snapchat, Tik Tok, Facebook, Spotify and the Audio XI steaming network and will consist of both display and audio adverts.
SOLAS are the state body charged with the develop-ment and implementation of FET (Further Education and Training) strategy in Ireland. Kerry College Admissions Officer John Herlihy (formerly of Radio Kerry) recorded the interviews at the Radio Production Studios at Kerry College’s Mona-valley Campus in Tralee. Local versions of the adverts are also airing on Radio Kerry and Spin Southwest.
Kerry College offers over 100 full time courses across its campus locations in Tralee at Monavalley, Clash Road and Denny Street and at Listowel. These courses include: Applied Science, Social Studies, Culinary Arts, Nursing, IT Support, Animation, Music, Computer Game Design, CAD, Engineering, Business, Medical and Office Administration, Healthcare, Pharmacy Sales, Physiotherapy, Outdoor Activity Instructor Training, Sports Nutrition, Pre-Teaching, Pre-Law and Pre-Garda Studies and Pre-PE Teaching amongst others.
