Kevin Quaid Re-Elected Chair of Alzheimer Europe

Kanturk man and native of Broadford, Co. Limerick, Kevin Quaid has been re-elected to the position of Chair of the European Working Group of People with Dementia for a second term; this means that he has also been elected to the Board of Alzheimer Europe for a second term and was voted in unopposed.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland and the Irish Dementia Working Group congratulated Kevin on social media, saying “Our amazing chair is a very busy man. We are so lucky to have him representing us here in Ireland and Europe. We wish Kevin and Gerda [van Tongerloo, the Netherlands, who is the new vice chair] every success in their important roles.”
When asked, Kevin said that sometimes it doesn’t feel real that he is representing Ireland on such a big stage and said that it is not lost on him how important it is that he brings the voice of the people of Ireland not just to Alzheimer Europe but also to the European Parliament.
