Killeedy Pre/After School is a finalist in the 2026 Newstalk Changemaker Business Awards, which will be held at the Mansion House, Dublin this Friday.
The awards event is an occasion where Ireland’s brightest innovators and change-makers come together to celebrate excellence in business. It will bring together industry leaders, creative minds, and forward-thinkers who are redefining the future of Irish business.
Guests will enjoy a dynamic programme that includes keynote speakers, panel discussions, and the presentation of awards across eight transformative categories.
This celebration offers an exclusive opportunity to connect, learn, and honour those driving impactful change in workplaces and communities across the country.
The categories in the awards are: Marketing Initiative, Sustainable Workplace, Inclusive Workplace, Procurement Process, Customer Experience, Environ-mental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Strategy, Workplace Wellbeing, Innovative Technology and The FBD Local Business Award.
It is within the latter that Killeedy has been shortlisted.
Three years ago, six local parents – Maura Cremin, Eileen Deely, Laura McEnery, Timothy Mulcahy, Teresa Nash Casey and Noreen O’Mahony – came together when the closure of Ashford Preschool, as it was then known, became imminent.
In response, Killeedy Pre/After School Committee was formed.
Today, the preschool plays an essential role within the local area, serving families from Ashford and Raheen-agh.
