Congratulations to Kilmallock Warriors who last Saturday won the much anticipated Bull ‘n’ Booze Tag rugby tournament which was held in Bruff Rugby Club. It proved to be a thrilling day with 25 teams entered from near and far.
After group stage matches each team was graded, with the top teams playing in the cup quarter, semi and high intensity final.
The Cup Final proved to be lightening fast. Kilmallock based David Wallace opened the score for the Kilmallock Warriors in the third minute when he broke clear of the oppositions defence and scored the first try in the left hand corner. Further scores from Kilmallock Warriors came from Bridget Wallace, Jim Bradshaw and Ray Forde.
Best of luck to David Wallace, Aisling Wallace, Jim Bradshaw, Nathan Clancy, Ray Forde, Stephen Hayes and John Brennan who were picked to play for Ireland in the 2015 Tag Rugby World Cup which will be held later this year in Australia.
