Kiri Mulqueen from Kilfinane, a senior staff nurse at Beech Lodge Care Facility in Bruree, is one of three finalists in the Nursing Home Registered Nurse of the Year category of the Nursing Homes Ireland (NHI) Care Awards. The awards are held annually and recognise the contribution of nursing home employees and residents.
Congratulating her on the nomination, proprietor and Director of Care Anne Maria Moore said: “In her role as senior staff nurse, Kiri is exemplary, known for her extraordinary dedication and inspirational in her care for residents. Kiri’s great strength is her ability to positively impact on others. She truly leads by example and demon-strates to all the team the true meaning of profess-ionalism. Her decisions and actions are always guided by what she believes is best for the resident.”
Kiri qualified as a staff nurse in Limerick Regional Hospital in 2010 and has worked at Beech Lodge since 2011. The NHI Care Awards will take place in the Citywest Hotel in Dublin on 7th November.
