The launch of this year’s cycle/run/walk in aid of CRY took place in Monagea Parish Hall on Friday night last. Thanks to everyone who attended. A special word of thanks to Limerick senior hurling captain Donal O’Grady who took time out from his busy schedule to be present. This year’s events take place on Saturday May 3rd. Desmond Sportive Cycling Club are using the occasion to run their West Limerick Endurance Challenge, a 135km course with many steep climbs. They will also have an 80km cycle for the fun cyclists. West Limerick Athletics Club will co-ordinate the run and walk. No sponsorship cards will be used this year, just the registration fees for the three events. The organisers look forward to the support of the volunteers who helped make last year’s event such a success. More details regarding registration etc. later.
