Limerick Desmond U15 Inter-League team made history when they were crowned All Ireland U15 Inter League winners on Sunday in Cahir, taking home the John Farrell Cup after a pulsating 3-2 win over North Dublin. This team has been knocking on the door of All Ireland success in the last couple of years, and on Sunday they knocked the door down and became the first team in the 24-year history of the Limerick Desmond Schoolboys/Girls League to win an All-Ireland Inter-League title at any age group. Scorers were Mikey Conlon from Creeves Celtic who netted twice, and Newcastle west’s Bryan Nix who added the third.
