Limerick hosts Enterprise Week

Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have a choice of over 200 online and in-person events to help them to start or grow their business during Local Enterprise Week 2023, which will be delivered across next week (Monday-Friday).
Specific to Limerick are several events, including a virtual one-on-one ‘Business Advice Clinic’ on Monday; Introduction to Self-Employment Workshop’ at the Longcourt House Hotel, Newcastle West, on Tuesday; ‘Keep Your Team’ at Strand Hotel on Wednesday; ‘Business Idea Generation (one day) at Coote Hall, Kilmallock on Thursday and ‘Access Funding through Limerick Enterprise Office,’ online.
Mike Cantwell, Head of Enterprise at Limerick’s LEO said “Local Enterprise Week is an opportunity for any business or potential entrepreneur. It allows you take stock of where you are, see where you can grow, where you can innovate or maybe become more sustainable and see what resources are available on your doorstep.  There is something for everyone and for those who maybe always had that ambition to start on their own, or have an idea, this is the week to see how to get started and make it happen.
Added Limerick City and County Council’s Vincent Murray: “It offers a great opportunity for anybody who wants to start or grow their business to get inspired and motivated. Events during the week will give you insights and add to your knowledge on important topics that can make a real difference to your business competitiveness. The week also puts a spotlight on the range of supports, advice and information available to businesses through the Limerick Enterprise Office.
“We would urge everyone to make the most of the week and to remember that your Local Enterprise Office is also available year-round to help your business to thrive.  If you are a business that wants to grow, internationalise or innovate, then there is something for you at Local Enterprise Week and we would encourage every small business out there to see what is happening in Limerick this year and take that next step.”
