Mallow Business Awards coming soon!

Local businesses will take centre stage as the fifth annual Mallow Business Awards come round again. Hosted and sponsored by the Mallow-based Barry Group, the 2012 awards will be officially launched by the Minister for Res-earch and Innovation, Sean Sherlock TD, at the Barry Group headquarters next Tuesday, 4th September. The launch will also be attended by Jim Barry, Managing Director at Barry Group; Mayor of Mallow, Cllr Noel O’Connor; and Mallow Chamber President, Mary Kelly. The Mallow Busi-ness Awards showcases Mallow’s best in business, celebrates local business successes, and ack-nowledges the vital contribution of the business sector to the Irish economy. Each year the competition gets bigger and better! Now in their fifth year, the Mallow Business Awards are open to businesses of all sizes and from all industry sectors. This year’s award categories have also been given a fresh, new look and will include: 1. Food and Drink Sector; 2. Business Person of the Year; 3. Manufacturing Sector; 4. Services Sector; 5. Emerging New Busi-ness. The final category – the Outstanding Business Award – will be judged from the five winners of the above categories. Entry forms for the Mallow Business Awards 2012 will be available following the official launch next Tuesday, and the closing date for entry is Friday 5th October. The winners will be announced at the annual Mallow Chamber Dinner Dance in Springfort Hall on 1st December.
